The battle is over.

With the immediate threat contained, the Doctor and Ava begin the painstaking work of repairing the Loom. Broken connections must be understood rather than simply forced back together, and every repair risks changing something neither of them can see.

For Ava, the work raises another question.

What comes after survival?

Once a historian on Silvaris V, she has spent her life studying supposedly settled events. Now she stands inside the machinery of history itself, travelling with a man whose memories span impossible lives.
